In Gobindganj, the 6th death anniversary of former president of upazila BNP, former MP late Principal Abdul Mannan Mandal was celebrated.

On the occasion of the 6th death anniversary of the former president of upazila BNP for 26 years in Gobindganj of Gaibandhar, former member of parliament, late principal Abdul Mannan Mandal, the upazila BNP was celebrated through various programs organized by the municipal BNP and its affiliated organizations. On the occasion of Bad Jumma on Friday, June 7, the funeral of the deceased was held at Daslal village of Shakhahar Union, the village home of the deceased, and a memorial service and prayers were held at the party office. Upazila BNP's struggling convenor public leader Farooq Ahmed spoke as the chief guest. The chief negotiator was Upazila BNP's struggling member secretary Mr. Rezanul Habib. Chief Rafiq Gobindganj Municipal BNP convener Rabiul Kabir Manu presided over. Late principal Abdul Mannan Mandal is a legendary figure in politics. Six years have passed. 21 Ramadan 1439 Hijri, Friday (7 June 2018 AH) breathed his last under treatment at a private hospital in Dhaka.

Brief Biography:
Principal Abdul Mannan Mondal was born on November 7, 1959 in a Muslim noble family in Jankhur Daslal village of Shakhahar union in Gobindganj upazila of Gaibandha district. His father, late Abbas Ali Mandal, passed away after serving as the Chairman of Shakhahar Union Parishad for 32 consecutive years. After the death of his father, Principal Abdul Mannan Mandal was elected as the Chairman of Shakhahar Union Parishad for 5 consecutive times.

Principal Abdul Mannan Mandal Virat High School from Secondary. He completed his Higher Secondary from Government Azizul Haque College, Bogra and Bachelors and Masters in Economics from Rajshahi University. He died while being the Principal of Hakimpur Government College. Principal Abdul Mannan Mandal was elected Member of Parliament from Bangladesh Nationalist Party-BNP nominated 32, Gaibandha-4 Gobindganj Constituency. He passed away after being the president of Gobindganj Upazila BNP for 27 consecutive years. Senior politicians, dignitaries and general public think that Principal Abdul Mannan Mandal was a memorable and exemplary personality of honesty, ideals and justice. Principal Abdul Mannan Mandal was not only the guardian of his three daughters Nishat, Nifat and Nishan. He was the guardian of Gobindganj Upazila BNP i.e. Gobindganj Municipality and 17 Union BNP. That is why the people of Gobindganj are still crying over the death of everyone's beloved leader Principal Abdul Mannan Mandal.
