Distribution of coconut seedlings among small and marginal farmers in Keshavpur

Under the incentive program in Keshavpur, free coconut seedlings have been distributed to small and marginal farmers during the financial year 2023-2024. On Sunday (June 9-24) afternoon, under the implementation of the upazila administration and agriculture extension department, the coconut seedlings were distributed among 9 farmers in the meeting room of the upazila agriculture office. On the occasion, under the chairmanship of Upazila Agriculture Officer Mahmuda Akhtar and Deputy Assistant Agriculture Officer Anath Bandhu Das, spoke at the discussion meeting. Upazila Rural Development Officer Sujan Kumar Chandra, President of National Press Society, Media and Human Rights Organization Keshabpur Upazila Branch Shamim Akhtar Mukul.

After the discussion, 5 coconut seedlings were distributed to each of the 9 farmers of the upazila. The small and marginal farmers of different areas of the upazila Shariful Islam, Tariqul Islam, Anik Saha, Oliur Rahman, Jaydev Das, Mehedi Hasan, Kamrul Aziz, Golam Rasul Alif, Abu Saeed, Abdul Latif Rana expressed their happiness and gratitude to the government for getting coconut seedlings. Upazila Additional Agriculture Officer Jahangir Hossain was present at the time. Deputy Assistant Agricultural Officer Dwip Joy Biswas, Milan Das, Shahadat Hossain, Shubhankar Roy, Bikash Kumar Mandal, officers-employees at various levels of the Upazila Agriculture Office and small and marginal farmers from different areas of the Upazila.
