Great Victory Day 2025 was observed in Mirzaganj, Potuakhali, with due dignity and solemnity through a program organized by the Upazila Administration. The day commenced on Tuesday (December 16) with a 31-gun salute at sunrise. In the first hour of the day, floral wreaths were laid at the Freedom Fighter Memorial by the Upazila Administration. Subsequently, wreaths were laid one after another by Upazila BNP, Thana Police, Fire Service, Upazila Health Complex, Upazila Jubo Dal, Chhatra Dal, Swechchhasebak Dal, Sramik Dal, and various political, social, cultural, journalist, professional organizations, as well as various educational institutions.

Later, at the Upazila Parishad premises, an event featuring a march-past and display exhibition was held. The symbol of peace, doves, were released and colorful balloons were flown to inaugurate the Great Victory Day and Victory Fair by Upazila Executive Officer Mrs. Maliha Khanam. Mirzaganj Thana Police, Fire Service, Ansar members, and students from various educational institutions participated in the march-past.

Among those present were Mirzaganj Army Camp Commander, Thana Officer-in-Charge (OC) Md. Salam Hossain, Upazila BNP President Alhaj Sahabuddin Nannu, Senior Vice-President Ahsanullah Pintu, Acting General Secretary Harun Ur Rashid Munshi, Joint General Secretary Golam Sarwar Manju, Jamaat-e-Islami's Amir Maulana Sirajul Haq, Upazila Jubo Dal's Joint Convener Nasir Howladar, Bablu Munshi, and others. Also present were heroic freedom fighters, leaders of journalist organizations, and local dignitaries. Additionally, the day was celebrated through receptions for freedom fighters, discussion meetings, serving high-quality food at hospitals and orphanages, special prayers at various mosques in the upazila, and special prayers at temples and various religious places of worship.
