In Baliakandi, Rajbari, a son-in-law died by consuming poison after visiting his in-laws' house. The deceased is a young man named Md. Rubel Mollah (35). He was the son of Md. Atiar Mollah from Borohijli village in Nababpur union of Baliakandi upazila.

From relatives, it is learned that Md. Rubel Mollah came to his in-laws' house in Talpotti area, Baliakandi, at 9 AM on December 16, 2025, from his own village home. His father-in-law is known by the nickname Tairo Mollah. Rubel came to take his wife Nargis Akter and their one-and-a-half-year-old son back home. When Nargis Akter was unwilling to go with him, an argument broke out between the two. Without saying anything to anyone, Rubel Mollah left his in-laws' house, came to Baliakandi market, bought poison, and consumed it.

Local people saw him and quickly took him to Baliakandi Upazila Health Complex at 11 AM. Later that day, at 8 PM, seeing Rubel's physical condition deteriorate, the on-duty doctor at Baliakandi Upazila Health Complex referred him to Faridpur Medical College Hospital. He died at Faridpur Medical College Hospital at 11 AM on December 17, 2025.

Following this incident, the Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Kotwali Police Station, Faridpur, ordered the Officer-in-Charge of Baliakandi Police Station to send a wireless message. The Officer-in-Charge of Baliakandi Police Station, Md. Abdur Rob Talukdar, informed the relatives of the deceased Rubel Mollah about the news. Later, Rubel Mollah's uncle, Md. Akbar Mollah, came to Baliakandi Police Station and reported Rubel Mollah's death, leading to the filing of an unnatural death case at Baliakandi Police Station.

Due to the untimely death of Rubel Mollah, the pain of his parents losing their only child has cast a shadow of mourning over the area.
