Today, on 17th February (Monday) at 3 PM, the 7th founding anniversary of the Bangladesh Student Rights Council was held at the Thakurgaon District Press Club. The anniversary and discussion meeting were presided over by Mr. Zahid Hasan, President of the Thakurgaon District Branch of the Bangladesh Student Rights Council. Also present were Rayhan Kabir, Vice-President of the Thakurgaon District Branch of the Bangladesh Student Rights Council, and Senior Vice-President Samiul Khan. Other leaders and activists of the Bangladesh Student Rights Council were also in attendance.

Samiul Khan stated, "We are working for student rights, which depend on the youth. On the 14th of July, we took to the streets of Thakurgaon, and on the 16th, we were attacked." Vice-President Rayhan Kabir said, "If VP Nurul Haq goes against the state, we will boycott him."

After the discussion, the leaders and activists cut a cake and held a rally. They marched around the main streets of Thakurgaon District and returned to the Press Club. In his concluding speech, President Zahid highlighted the brutal oppression under the fascist government.
