In Narail, 200 BNP-Jamaat activists have been acquitted in a sabotage case. The court has acquitted 200 accused individuals named in the charge sheet of a case filed following a clash between police and BNP-Jamaat leaders and activists at the Ghora Khali intersection in Narail Municipality on December 11, 2013. Uzzal Roy, the district correspondent from Narail, reported that Chief Judicial Magistrate Hadiuzzaman delivered the verdict on Thursday (February 27) afternoon. Additional Public Prosecutor (APP) Advocate Azizul Islam confirmed the matter to Dhaka Mail. Among the notable individuals acquitted in the verdict are:

According to the case details, on December 11, 2013, leaders and activists of the district BNP and Jamaat organized a protest march in support of a hartal at the Ghora Khali intersection in Narail Municipality. When police intervened, a bloody clash ensued, leaving many from both sides seriously injured. Following the incident, Sub-Inspector (SI) Atiqur Rahman filed a case at Narail Sadar Police Station on December 11, 2013. In the case, 78 individuals were named, and approximately 2,500 to 3,000 unidentified individuals were listed as accused. After completing the investigation, Sub-Inspector (SI) Shekhar Chandra Mallik of Sadar Police Station submitted the charge sheet to the court on August 7, 2016, accusing 200 individuals.
