Farewell Reception for UNO Organized by Burichang Press Club

Burichang Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Shahida Akhtar was given a farewell reception by the Burichang Press Club on the occasion of her transfer. The farewell event was held on Saturday (May 3) at noon in the conference room of the Press Club.

Presided over by Burichang Press Club President Kazi Khorshed Alam and moderated by General Secretary Zahirul Haque Babu, the outgoing UNO Shahida Akhtar was the chief guest at the event. Speakers present at the program praised the outgoing UNO's tenure, saying, "She performed her duties with efficiency, sincerity, and honesty. Various development works in the upazila were implemented during her time."

In her response, outgoing UNO Shahida Akhtar said, "The cooperation and sincerity of journalists during my tenure in Burichang made my work easier. I am grateful to everyone and will remember this support forever."

Among those present at the event were former President of Burichang Press Club Md. Mosleh Uddin, Senior Vice-President Gazi Mohammad Jahangir Alam Jabir, Organizing Secretary Md. Zakir Hossain, Co-Organizing Secretary Akkas Al Mahmud Hridoy, Publicity Secretary Md. Shariful Islam Sumon, Office Secretary Mohammad Shafi, Information and Technology Secretary Md. Abdullah, Hospitality and Sports Secretary Foyez Ahmed, Literature and Publication Secretary Almgir Hossain Mollah, members Mohammad Tajul Islam, Alauddin Ahmed, Kibria, and many others.

Later, the Press Club honored the UNO with a commemorative memento. Local media workers, public representatives, teachers, cultural activists, and people from various professions attended the event.
