Fire breaks out at Supriya Jute Mill in Thakurgaon

A fire incident has occurred at the Supriya Jute Mill in Thakurgaon. Two units of the Fire Service are working to bring the fire under control. The incident took place around 5 PM on Sunday, May 4, at Supriya Jute Mill.

Workers at the mill reported that the fire originated in the generator room, where oil drums and various mechanical equipment were stored. Nearby, there were jute and cotton-made products. So far, the fire remains confined to the generator room. Meanwhile, thick black smoke has engulfed the surrounding area. Fire Service personnel were seen working with oxygen cylinders, and curious onlookers have gathered at the scene.

Officials from the Thakurgaon Fire Service stated, "We rushed to the spot immediately after receiving the news. The fire is largely under control now. We have yet to determine the cause of the fire or the extent of the damage."
