Abdul Hamid's Departure from the Country: One Officer Withdrawn, Two Suspended Over Negligence Allegations

An Additional Superintendent of Police (ASP) of the Immigration Police has been withdrawn, and the investigating officer of the case filed against former President Md. Abdul Hamid at Kishoreganj Sadar Police Station, along with an SB officer, have been temporarily suspended over allegations of negligence in duty regarding the incident of the former president leaving the country.
The matter was disclosed in a press release signed by AIG (Media and Public Relations) of Police Headquarters, Enamul Haque Sagar, and sent to the media on Thursday.
The press release stated that an Additional SP of the Immigration Police was withdrawn, and the investigating officer of the case filed against Abdul Hamid at Kishoreganj Sadar Police Station, along with an SB officer, were temporarily suspended over allegations of negligence in duty concerning the former president's departure from the country.
The suspended officers are: Additional SP Tahsina Arif, SI Md. Azharul Islam, and ATSI Md. Solaiman.
It is noteworthy that on January 14, a murder case was filed against Abdul Hamid at Kishoreganj Sadar Police Station. The case also includes the names of former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, Sheikh Rehana, Sajeeb Wazed Joy, Saima Wazed Putul, and Obaidul Quader.
Before this case, nearly half a hundred cases were filed in Kishoreganj district with Awami League leaders as accused. However, Abdul Hamid was not named as an accused in any of those cases.
