A training workshop on modern methods of jute and seed production has been held.

A training workshop on modern methods of jute and seed production for jute growers was held in Birganj, Dinajpur. The day-long training workshop on improved technology-based jute and seed production for farmers, organized by the Upazila Administration and the Department of Jute, commenced at 10 AM on Wednesday (29th October) at the Upazila Officers' Club. Under the project titled 'Extension Project (2nd Revised)', 75 jute farmers were provided with training and materials in this program.
The training workshop was inaugurated by Upazila Executive Officer Tanvir Ahmed and presided over by District Jute Development Officer Ashim Kumar Malakar. The event was conducted by Upazila Sub-Assistant Jute Development Officer Tapan Kumar Roy. The trainers and discussants included District Training Officer Md. Shah Alam, BADC Deputy Director Md. Mazharul Islam, and Upazila Agriculture Officer Agriculturist Md. Shariful Islam. Additionally, staff from the Department of Jute and trainees from various unions and municipalities of the upazila were present.
Jute farmer Raj Kishore from Joyrampur village in Mohammadpur Union of Birganj Upazila said, "If training workshops are held regularly, interest in jute cultivation will increase."
