Mohammad Abu Saeed Akan, Member of Ward No. 8 and Panel Chairman No. 1 of the union, has been entrusted with the responsibilities of the Chairman to further accelerate the activities of Golkhali Union in Galachipa Upazila of Patuakhali. This responsibility was assigned through a notification dated October 23 (Thursday), signed by Patuakhali Deputy Commissioner Mohammad Shahid Hossain Chowdhury. The same letter relieved Upazila Statistics Officer Mohammad Masud from his duties as the Administrator.

According to local sources, due to the chairman's absence, the general public of the union had been facing difficulties in receiving various services for a long time. Therefore, locals have welcomed this step by the district administration to keep the overall administrative activities of the union functional. Regarding this matter, residents of Golkhali Union, including Gautam Howladar, Nasir Uddin, Zakir Hossain, Keshab Das, and Joydeb Sadhu, said, "Previously, Upazila Statistics Officer Masud Sir served as the Administrator, but he could not be present at the union regularly. As a result, many of our tasks remained incomplete. We are very happy that Abu Saeed Akan has now been given the responsibility of Chairman."

Rameez Uddin, Secretary of the Golkhali Union Parishad, said, "The newly appointed Chairman, Mohammad Abu Saeed Akan, is a hardworking and responsible person. Since he assumed charge, activity has returned to the Union Parishad from morning till night." Regarding this, the newly appointed Chairman, Mohammad Abu Saeed Akan, said, "No work outside government policy will be conducted in this Union Parishad. My goal is to build the people's union—to establish a corruption-free and service-oriented administration. Birth registration, VGF rice, VGD rice, various allowances—everything will be handled based on transparency. I want people to receive services easily and in the shortest possible time." He further sought cooperation from all union residents and promised to develop Golkhali Union into an advanced, transparent, and people-service-oriented model administrative union.
