Hafez Mohiuddin Jamil, the nominated parliamentary candidate for Narsingdi-1 (Sadar) constituency by Khilafat Majlis, has presented his stance regarding the overall development programs for Narsingdi through a press conference. The press conference was organized by the Narsingdi District Khilafat Majlis at the Narsingdi Press Club on the morning of Friday, October 31.

While pointing out that Narsingdi, known as an industrial city and an education city, has multiple educational institutions but lacks a good quality university, Mohiuddin Jamil said, "Although there are more than fifty colleges in Narsingdi, there is no good quality university." This Khilafat Majlis candidate stated that if elected, he would work to establish a good quality university in Narsingdi.

Raising an allegation that donations are being extorted from Narsingdi businessmen post the July revolution, he said, "We promise that if we are elected, there will be no extortion of even one taka from any industrial establishment in Narsingdi." He also expressed optimism that he would work to restore the lost heritage of Narsingdi's once-popular thread industry and textile industry.

It was announced from the press conference that to solve the problem of Narsingdi's large number of expatriates being freed from the dominance of middlemen, comprehensive assistance would be provided to expatriates for going abroad legally, along with higher training.

This candidate nominated by Khilafat Majlis and Central Vice-President of Islami Yuba Majlis, Hafez Mohiuddin Jamil, also shared his thoughts on various active activities, including playing a role in creating young entrepreneurs.
