8 arrested with local and foreign weapons and ammunition in RAB raid in Raipura, Narsingdi

This information was disclosed in a press release issued on Saturday, November 1, 2025, around noon from Raipura Upazila in Narsingdi by Lieutenant Colonel AHM Sazzad Hossain, Commander of RAB-11, Adamjee Nagar, Narayanganj.

The press release mentioned that, in light of recent social disputes and clashes in Raipura Upazila of Narsingdi district, RAB-11 conducted an operation in the early hours of Saturday, November 1st, based on intelligence, to control the law and order situation in the area.

During the operation, searches were conducted in various locations of Srinagar Union in Raipura Upazila. The operation led to the recovery of 2 foreign pistols, 5 single-barrel guns, 1 double-barrel gun, 2 LG weapons, 1 pipe gun, 3 magazines, and 35 rounds of ammunition, along with the arrest of 8 individuals.

The arrested persons are:

  1. Md. Shafiq Mia (32), son of Dalim Mia from Saydabad area, Raipura Upazila.

  2. Md. Mostafa (38), son of Haji Samshul Mia.

  3. Zahid Hasan (17), son of Md. Dulal Mia.

  4. Aynal (38), son of Mahajuddin.

  5. Mahiuddin Hridoy (22), son of Md. Zaker Hossain.

  6. Md. Bacchu Mia (62), son of Ali Hossain.

  7. Kalu Mia (69), son of Abdul Samad Tuku Mia.

  8. Md. Based (40), son of Khalil Rahman.

Multiple cases, including murder, were already registered against the arrested individuals at the local police station.
