Gobindganj Upazila Parishad Chairman and Vice-Chairmen took oath

Gaibandhar Gobindganj Upazila Parishad elected Chairman Lecturer Shakil Akand Bulbul, Vice Chairman MA Matin Mollah and Female Vice Chairman Papia Roy Pakhi were sworn in. Today, Thursday (June 6) at 10 am, the oath-taking ceremony was held at Rangpur District Art Academy Auditorium.

Meanwhile, Rangpur Divisional Commissioner Zakir Hossain administered the oath to the chairman and vice-chairman of Gobindganj Upazila Parishad elected from 21 upazilas of 8 districts of Rangpur division in the second phase of the sixth upazila parishad election held on May 21. Rangpur Additional Divisional Commissioner Abu Jafar, Rangpur Divisional Commissioner Office Local Government Branch Deputy Director Riyaz Uddin and other senior officers were present during the oath reading.

In the oath ceremony, the newly elected upazila chairman, vice chairman and female vice chairmen took an oath to carry out their duties with honesty, devotion and loyalty as well as to have genuine faith and loyalty to the country. Apart from this, he promised to cooperate with the administration in controlling all types of crimes including terrorism, drugs, militancy and women abuse in their respective upazilas.

After taking the oath, the Chairman of Gobindganj Upazila Parishad, Lecturer Shakil Akand Bulbul spoke to the National Parliament Member of Gaibandha-4 Constituency, Principal Abul Kalam Azad, on the phone and asked for prayers and overall cooperation. Later he exchanged greetings, courtesies and greetings with the people of his area.
