3 cattle thieves arrested in Manohardi.

Residents of Manohardi, Narsingdi, handed over three cattle thieves to the police after apprehending them. The incident occurred on Monday (February 17) in Kocherchar village of Daulatpur Union in the upazila. The arrested individuals are Sohail (32), son of Waliullah from Biyaidoa village in Kapasia upazila of neighboring Gazipur district; Russel (25), son of Belayet from the same area; and Riya (22), wife of Kaiyum. According to local sources, on Monday morning, the three were seen wandering around Kocherchar Bazar with cattle, which raised suspicions among the locals. The residents then detained them. Upon receiving the news, the cattle owner, Sohail Nur Mohammad, arrived at the scene and identified his cattle. Later, the police took the detainees to Manohardi Police Station. Officer-in-Charge (OC) Md. Abdul Jabbar of Manohardi Police Station stated that the thieves had stolen the cattle from Kapasia and were caught by locals in Manohardi. Since the theft occurred in Kapasia, the cattle owner has been advised to file a case at Kapasia Police Station. After the case is filed, the accused will be transferred to Kapasia Police Station.
