The prayer gathering was held on the death anniversary of the mother of philanthropist Alhajj Bashir Ahmed Saheb.

A doa mahfil (prayer gathering) was held to seek forgiveness for the soul of the mother of philanthropist Alhajj Bashir Ahmed, who is a trusted advisor of the UK BNP, a trustee of Darul Hadith Latifia London, a prominent education enthusiast, social worker, successful businessman, and a beloved disciple of Shamsul Ulama Allama Fultali Saheb Qibla (Rh.).

The Khatme Quran, Khatme Khwajegan, Milad, and Doa Mahfil were held at his residence in Jalalabad, Sylhet city, on Sunday (May 4) at 11:00 AM, praying for the salvation of Alhajj Bashir Ahmed’s mother.

Renowned Islamic thinker Hafiz Masum Ahmed Dudhratchki attended as the chief guest at the event. Among others present were Hafiz Qari Bashir Ahmed, Qari Maulana Shikdar Ahmed, Hafiz Abdur Rahman, Hafiz Akhtar Husein, Maulana Sharif Ahmed, Maulana Azizul Haque, Maulana Sirajul Islam, prominent education enthusiast and senior journalist Abdul Kader Tapadar, Iftikhar Hossain Lechu Mia, ASI Siddiqur Rahman, Sazzadur Rahman, Hafiz Uddin, Shahidur Rahman, Ashikur Rahman Ashik, Abdul Qadir, and a large number of devotees.

At the prayer gathering, Hafiz Masum Ahmed Dudhratchki said, "Philanthropist Alhajj Bashir Ahmed, born into a respected Muslim family in Amria village of Sunamganj, has been serving humanity. Beyond humanitarian work, he has contributed to various sectors of society. He has consistently supported mosques, madrasas, roads, culverts, bridges, and the poor in both London and Bangladesh. His contributions are not limited to Sunamganj but have spread across the entire country. Alhajj Bashir Ahmed is a successful businessman in Sylhet, and his business extends beyond the country to the UK."

Dudhratchki further added, "We pray to Almighty Allah for the forgiveness of his mother’s soul and ask Allah to grant her the highest place in Jannatul Firdaus."

After the Khatme Quran, Khatme Khwajegan, and Milad Mahfil, a special munajat (supplication) was conducted by Hafiz Masum Ahmed Dudhratchki, seeking forgiveness for the soul of Alhajj Bashir Ahmed’s mother, praying for his long and blessed life, and wishing peace and prosperity for the nation.
