Lecturer Shakil Akand Bulbul (Pineapple) in the sixth upazila parishad election in Gobindganj of Gaibandhar, M. as vice chairman. A Matin Mollah (glasses) and Papiya Roy Pakhi (sewing machine) won the symbol. On Tuesday (21 May, 2024) around 4:00 p.m., Assistant Returning Officer and Upazila Nirbahi Officer Russell Mia announced the names of the winners for the posts of Chairman, Vice Chair (Male) and Vice Chairman (Female) privately based on the results obtained from 172 centres. The total number of valid votes in this post is 173093, invalid 3505 and the total number of votes cast is 176598. Among the five contenders for the post of Vice Chairman (Male) M. A. Matin Mollah (65963 votes in glasses symbol) is his nearest rival Shariful Islam Taju (in mic symbol 57537) defeated by a margin of 8426 votes.
