Porsha Battalion 14 BGB (Border Guard Bangladesh) seizes large quantity of narcotics.

At 5 am on December 11, a special patrol led by Patrol Commander Naik Md. Ershad Ali of Bostabor BOP conducted a raid in the Bir village area, approximately 500 yards inside Bangladesh from Border Pillar 263/2-S. They successfully apprehended 2 smugglers along with 28 bottles of Indian-made narcotic Phensedyl and 06 bottles of Fairdil syrup. The apprehended individuals are: (a) Md. Abdul Latif (40), father – late Zahir Uddin; (b) Shyamal Das (60), father – late Ajit Chandra Das. Both are residents of village – Chakmalin, post office – Chakmalin, police station – Porsha, and district – Naogaon.
A case has been filed against the detained accused at Dhamoirhat police station, and they along with the seized goods have been handed over to the police (Case No. 12, dated December 11, 2025, at Dhamoirhat Police Station). The Commander of Porsha Battalion, Lt. Colonel Mohammad Iqbal Hossain, PGBM, PGBMS, has pledged to continue the comprehensive campaign against cattle/drug smuggling, illegal border crossing, and trafficking in the Naogaon and Joypurhat border areas.
