Emergency Meeting at Ganabhaban: AL to Meet with Quota Reform Movement Coordinators
Prime Minister and Awami League President Sheikh Hasina has instructed party leaders to meet with the coordinators of the Quota Reform Movement to help stabilize the country’s situation. Party leaders Jahangir Kabir Nanak, a presidium member, along with Joint General Secretaries Mahbubul Alam Hanif and AFM Bahauddin Nasim, have been tasked with this responsibility.
An emergency meeting of the ruling Awami League was held at Ganabhaban on Friday night to address the current national situation. During the meeting, Sheikh Hasina emphasized the need for caution and tolerance towards the general student body. As a result, a team of three leaders was formed to engage in discussions with the coordinators of the Anti-Discrimination Students' Movement. A source at Ganabhaban confirmed that Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan visited Ganabhaban on Friday night to meet with the Prime Minister.
