"Prof. Yunus Urges Unity to Build a New Bangladesh, Honoring Abu Sayed's Sacrifice"
Daily Bijoy News Correspondent:
Chief Adviser Prof. Muhammad Yunus emphasized on Saturday that it is everyone's responsibility to build a new Bangladesh. "This is our duty to build the new Bangladesh," he stated after meeting with the family members of martyred Abu Sayed in Rangpur. Prof. Yunus urged everyone to contribute to the nation's progress, keeping in mind the ultimate sacrifices made by Abu Sayed and others.
"Abu Sayed is the son of every family in Bangladesh," he remarked. He expressed hope that students will remember Abu Sayed and aspire to follow his example. "They will pledge to fight for justice like Abu Sayed," he added. Prof. Yunus further mentioned that Abu Sayed's legacy now lives in every household across the country. "The martyr belongs to everyone, regardless of religion or background," he said.
The chief adviser called on everyone to remain vigilant against anarchy. "We are all children of this soil; we are all Abu Sayed," he declared. He stressed the importance of protecting all citizens, regardless of their religion, and encouraged taking a stand like Abu Sayed. The Nobel laureate also urged against creating divisions among the people of Bangladesh. "We are all Bangladeshi, we are all children of this land," he said.
Prof. Yunus concluded by noting that Bangladesh is now united, a vision that Abu Sayed dreamed of—a nation without discrimination. "My request to you all is to protect everyone and ensure that there is no anarchy," he said.
