Naogaon Voluntary Organization Blood Circle: Nahid Elected President and Rizvi as General Secretary

In the 6th Central Executive Committee of the Naogaon Blood Circle, Nahid Hasan has been appointed as the President and Rizvi Ahmed Rizwan as the General Secretary. The committee was announced by the organization's advisor, Kazi Mahiuddin Alamgir, at the Shaheed Minar premises after concluding a free blood grouping campaign during the seven-day Amar Ekushey Book Fair held at the KD Government High School grounds. The 12-member committee will serve for the next one year. Other members of the committee include Vice Presidents Tarikul Islam, Sad Hussain, and Tarek Hasan Alif; Joint General Secretary Mir Ragib Masum; Organizational Secretary Abrar Rakin; Assistant Organizational Secretary Alamin; Finance Secretary Rahad Hasan Akash; Publicity Secretary Russell Mia; Office Secretary Nazmul Hasan; and Executive Member Nur Mohammad Rafi. Among the advisors of the Naogaon Blood Circle present at the event were Advocate Kazi Atikur Rahman, Dr. Abdul Matin, Advocate Abdul Muayeed, Saeed Zobaed Anik, Arman Hossain Ruman, and Muhammad Farhad Alam, a member of the Permanent Observer Committee.

The newly appointed President, Nahid Hasan, stated that since 2017, the Naogaon Blood Circle has been working to raise awareness about blood donation and foster positive development among the youth in Naogaon. So far, members of the organization have donated blood to more than 5,500 patients. He further added, "Apart from blood donation awareness, we have been conducting various service-oriented activities such as improving the lives of street children, tree plantation and cleanliness drives for environmental protection, free medical services, anti-drug campaigns, and disaster relief assistance. If the affluent extend their support, these activities can be expanded on a larger scale."
