Daily Bijoy News Shivpur, Narsingdi Correspondent:

Employees of the Narsingdi District branch of the Bangladesh Judicial Service Association observed a two-hour work abstention demanding salaries and allowances according to the Judicial Service pay scale and the formulation of a separate recruitment policy. On Monday, May 5, the court employees staged a complete work stoppage from 9:30 AM to 11:30 AM in front of the District and Sessions Judge Court.

During the protest, speeches were delivered by Mohammad Osman Gani, Acting Administrative Officer of Narsingdi District Judge Court; Nazir Mahabub Reza; Md. Golam Hossain, Nazir of the Chief Judicial Magistrate Court; Md. Khalilur Rahman; Tanzina Ferdous; Ahsanul Kabir; and others.

They stated that the judicial department employees must be provided salaries and allowances under the Judicial Service pay scale, a separate secretariat under the Supreme Court, and a promotion system based on seniority and qualifications. Although the association’s organizational team has contacted higher government authorities multiple times, no visible progress has been made in meeting their demands. If their demands remain unmet, the association will announce a larger protest program.
