BRAC Migration’s School Program Held in Raipura

The Reintegration of Migrant Workers in Bangladesh Project under the BRAC Migration Program organized a quiz competition and prize distribution event on safe migration and remittance management at the local level, involving general school students, to raise awareness among returnee migrants.
Today (Sunday, May 18) at 11:00 AM, the event was held in the conference room of Shatadal Balika High School in Chanderkandi Union, Raipura Upazila, Narsingdi District. Presided over by the school's headmaster, Md. Mofizul Islam, Field Organizer Ms. Sharifa Akter informed the students about the training provided for reintegrating returnee migrants, referral services, and government services.
The BRAC Migration Program has been working for the welfare of migrants since 2006. Under this program, various awareness activities, reintegration support for returnees, emergency assistance for victims, and legal aid services are provided.
Among others present were Assistant Teacher Sharmin Akter Shilpi, BRAC Migration Program volunteers from Uttar Bakhar Nagar Union—Sohana Akter and Mostakima Akter—and Renu Akter from Chanderkandi Union, along with others.
