Market monitoring drive by the Directorate of Consumer Rights Protection in Manohardi.

A market monitoring drive was conducted by the Directorate of National Consumer Rights Protection in Manohardi, Narsingdi. The drive was led by Md. Mahmudur Rahman, Assistant Director of the Directorate of Consumer Rights Protection, at Kochar Char Kamrul Mollah New Bazar in Eduria Union of the upazila on Sunday afternoon (October 26, 2025). During the drive, fines were collected from two medicine sellers under various sections of the Consumer Rights Protection Act, 2009, for the offense of storing medicines not meant for sale by doctors and for storing medicines with the intention of selling expired medicines. Present at that time were Upazila Sanitary Inspector Md. Shahnewaz, Safe Food Inspector Md. Mobarok Hossain, and a police force from Narsingdi Police Lines.
