The 54th National Co-operative Day-2025 was observed in Keshabpur through various programs, centered around the theme "Co-operatives will build the nation in equality and equity." A rally, discussion meeting, and crest distribution were organized by the Upazila Administration, Co-operative Department, and co-operative members.
Marking the occasion on Saturday (November 1, 2025), the event began in the morning with the hoisting of the national flag and the co-operative flag at the Upazila Parishad premises. Following this, a rally was brought out, which paraded through various streets of the town.
A discussion meeting was held at the Upazila Auditorium, presided over by Upazila Co-operative Officer Nasima Khatun. Md. Sharif Newaz, Assistant Commissioner (Land), attended as the chief guest and addressed the meeting. Conducted by Assistant Upazila Education Officer Harun-ur-Rashid, the discussion featured speeches from special guests including Upazila Youth Development Officer Anju Monowara, former Vice-President of Keshabpur Press Club Motahar Hossain, Shamim Akhtar Mukul, President of the Keshabpur Upazila branch of the National Press Society, Media and Human Rights Organization, Habibur Rahman, General Secretary of the Upazila Teachers' Association, SM Sazzad Hossain, Director of Khopdahi IPM Agricultural Co-operative Society Limited, and Ruhul Kuddus, President of Satbaria Mul Anubay Co-operative Society.
After the discussion, honorary crests were distributed to the officers of co-operatives that paid the highest audit fees and CDF (Government Revenue) in the upazila. These were the Keshabpur Upazila Teachers Employees Co-operative Credit Union, Ashar Alo Sarbaik Gram Unnayan Co-operative Society Limited, Swapna Sanchay O Rindan Co-operative Society Limited, and KD Matsyajibi Co-operative Society. Additionally, SM Sazzad Hossain, Director of the IPM Agricultural Co-operative Society Limited, was honored with a crest as a co-operator.
Among others present at the event were Upazila Women Affairs Officer Rupali Rani, Masum Billah, Sports Secretary of Keshabpur Press Club, member journalists Abdul Karim and Shahinur Rahman, senior journalist Paresh Debnath, along with officers from various upazila administration departments and leaders of different co-operative societies.
