Anti-drug discussion meeting held in Dinajpur on the initiative of VSDA.

An anti-drug awareness discussion meeting was held at Parjpur Fasiladanga High School in Dinajpur Sadar Upazila, organized by the Village Social Development Association (VSDA). The meeting took place on Thursday (November 6, 2025) at 10:00 AM in the school's hall room and was presided over by the school's Headteacher, Mrs. Salma Khatun.
The Additional Police Superintendent (Sadar Circle), Mr. Md. Abdul Halim, attended as the chief guest. In his speech, the chief guest stated, "Drugs destroy not just an individual, but the entire society. Students must become aware from now on and practice morality. They must be cautious when using social media, as it can be a source of knowledge but can also lead to danger if misused. They must master study techniques and build good habits. At the same time, it is crucial to make parents aware of 'Good Touch' and 'Bad Touch' for children."
The special guests present were the President of the school's Managing Committee, Mr. Md. Rafiqul Islam, and the Vice President of VSDA, Mr. Md. Selim Islam. The event was hosted by VSDA's Executive Member, Bipul Roy. During the event, he also informed the students about the police's ongoing anti-drug initiatives.
Regarding the purpose of this program, VSDA Vice President Mr. Md. Selim Islam said, "The young generation is the future of our country. We must keep them away from drugs, violence, and social degradation." Also present were VSDA Youth Lead Committee-25 Executive Members Mr. Md. Shamin, Anik Kundu, Saurav, and other members of the organization.
During the meeting, the speakers highlighted the harmful effects of drugs and encouraged students to lead conscious and moral lives. The event concluded with gifts being distributed among the students through a quiz competition.
