Daily Bijoy News, Rajbari Correspondent:
Nomination aspirant for the Rajbari-2 constituency (Baliakandi, Kalukhali, and Pangsha), former Joint General Secretary of the Nationalist Volunteer Party's Central Committee and Assistant Attorney General Barrister Kazi Rahman Manik, exchanged views with farmers in Bhimanagar village, Baliakandi Upazila, Rajbari district. Various issues of the farmers, including production costs, market systems, and agricultural support-related matters, were discussed at the exchange meeting held with local farmers in the Bhimanagar area on Friday afternoon.
At the exchange meeting, Barrister Kazi Rahman Manik said, "The farmers of this region are the main strength of the local economy. But they are deprived of fair prices and are not getting modern agricultural equipment and adequate support. If the problems of the farmers are not solved, agriculture and the rural economy cannot move forward in any way. If the people give me the opportunity, I will work to ensure the fair rights of the farmers." He further said, "The increase in fertilizer prices, irrigation costs, the seed crisis, and not getting fair prices for crops—these are long-standing problems. Effective plans and government supervision are essential to solve these problems." The farmers present at the meeting expressed their various demands, losses, and grievances and thanked Barrister Manik for taking such an initiative.
Those present at the time included former Farmer's Party President Abdur Rob Mia, former Chhatra Dal President Roknuzzaman Sahin, Upazila Volunteer Party Member Secretary Rafiquzzaman Liton, Sahangir, Shah Alam, Jubo Dal leader Rubel Kazi, Kumaresh, Pulak, Murad Mollah, Musfiqur Rahman, Fazlul Haque, Russel, Mijan Fakir, and Mannan Mondal, along with local BNP and associated organization leaders and activists.
