In the past 54 years of rule, the people's expectations have not been met in all areas including state governance, economy, judiciary, agriculture, education, and culture. He said that governments at various times have caused a deterioration in public conditions, including corruption, extortion, and persecution of differing opinions. Even after the political change of August 5, land grabbing, control of markets and river ports, and extortion continue in the same manner as before. However, he mentioned that Jamaat-e-Islami has no connection with these activities. People now want change. We must break free from the old political practices, corruption, and grabbers to build a just state system. "We need change - Jamaat can bring this change." These words were spoken by Professor Mia Golam Parwar as the chief guest in his speech at the student public meeting organized by Dumuria Upazila Jamaat-e-Islami at the Shahpur Andulia Football Field in Dumuria Upazila of Khulna-5 constituency on Friday morning (21st November-25). In his speech, quoting Jamaat Ameer Dr. Shafiqur Rahman's historic speech at Suhrawardy Udyan, he said, "If given the responsibility of running the state, Jamaat's MPs and ministers will not take any tax-free cars, plots, or special benefits - other party leaders cannot give this promise." He claimed that Jamaat will establish an accountable system by disclosing development sector allocations to the people. In the future, if we come to state power, we will build an exploitation-free Bangladesh. He assured to resolve waterlogging in the area, including the Bill Dakatiya. Addressing the Hindu community present, he said, "Do not be afraid. Just as you can vote for the boat, sheaf of paddy, and plough, you also have the right to vote for the scale." He alleged that attempts to snatch voting rights by creating fear damage social coexistence. He called upon the district and upazila administration, police, DC, SP, UNOs, and other concerned officials to remain neutral. He said, "The country has paid the price for what happens when votes cast during the day are counted at night. This time, no one will be able to avoid responsibility if they try to steal votes."
