At the bus stand in Mohadevpur Upazila Sadar of Naogaon, grassroots journalists have called upon all levels of society to resist those who are attempting to rehabilitate the accomplices of the banned Awami League, who opposed the July mass uprising and are fascists. This call was made during their speeches at a human chain formed by journalists and student protesters at the Mohadevpur Upazila Sadar bus stand today, Saturday (November 22), at 11:00 AM. The human chain was organized by local journalists in protest of the "attempts to publicly bring onto the stage and rehabilitate the accomplices of fascism who opposed the July mass uprising." Senior journalist of Mohadevpur, Q. M. Saeed Tito, Editor of the experimental weekly 'Mohadevpur Darpan' and President of the Mohadevpur Reporters' Unit, presided over the event.

Conducted by Daily Rajbarta correspondent and General Secretary of Mohadevpur Reporters' Unit, Kazi Samshuzzoha Milon, speeches were given by, among others, Yusuf Ali Suman, Daily Jai Jai Din's Barind region correspondent and President of Mohadevpur Model Press Club. Others present included Sohail Rana, General Secretary of Mohadevpur Model Press Club and Naogaon District Correspondent for Daily Amar Barta Multimedia; Shahidul Islam, Naogaon District Correspondent for Bengali Edition; M. R. Raj, Naogaon District Correspondent for SA TV; Suman Kumar Bullet, Naogaon District Correspondent for Daily Agrajatra Protidin; Alhaj Saifur Rahman Soni, Mohadevpur Correspondent for Daily Sakaler Somoy; Ujjal Kumar Sarkar, Correspondent for Daily Banglar Doot; Jewel Mondol, Mohadevpur Correspondent for Banglanews Dhaka Online; along with local students and the public.

Jai Jai Din correspondent Yusuf Ali Suman said, "It is only because of the July mass uprising of students and the public that we are free from fascism. The people will resist with all their might those who have taken the responsibility of rehabilitating the banned Awami accomplices." He said, "In Mohadevpur, the so-called journalists who are Awami accomplices are being rehabilitated, excluding the nationalist journalists and those who participated in the July movement. During the fascist era, we faced lawsuits for reporting against the former Food Minister Sadhan Chandra Majumdar's corruption in importing paddy from India during the full Mango season and for constructing a steel grain silo in Nohata at a cost of thousands of crores of Taka."

"Those who have been nominated primarily by the 'Sheaf of Paddy' have taken the responsibility of rehabilitating those who, during the fascist era, in the name of journalism, engaged in extortion, tender manipulation, and formed 'Nigo Syndicates', excluding those who actually developed Mohadevpur-Badalgachhi. He is carrying out the 'Sheaf of Paddy' campaign by including those who sang praises of the Food Minister during the fascist era."

The moderator, Kazi Samshuzzoha Milon, said, "On November 15, Fazle Huda Babul, who received the primary nomination from BNP for the Naogaon-3 (Mohadevpur-Badalgachhi) constituency and is the President of Badalgachhi Upazila BNP and Joint General Secretary of the Central Krishak Dal, held a views-exchange with journalists in Mohadevpur. By bringing controversial journalist Barun Majumdar, Awami accomplice so-called poet journalist Akkas Ali, and other accomplices of fascism onto the stage, he is openly creating groupings with nationalist journalists. The rehabilitation of fascist accomplices in this manner will not be accepted."

President Q. M. Saeed Tito said, "Introducing himself as a friend of Fazle Huda Babul, who received the primary nomination from the 'Sheaf of Paddy', Barun Majumdar has established a reign of terror in the area. He went to India's ISKCON temple, took selfies, and posted them on his Facebook. According to ISKCON's manifesto, he developed an illicit relationship with a Muslim housewife in Mohadevpur. Last year, until the evening of August 4, he conducted drills with sticks at the Upazila Awami League office. He filed false cases against nationalist journalists. So-called poet journalist Akkas Ali went to attack the procession of the mass movement of anti-discrimination students and the public in front of the Awami League office on the morning of August 5. Another fascist, an inactive journalist, until a few days ago, uploaded numerous videos in the Mohadevpur Thana WhatsApp Journalist group with messages like 'Sheikh Hasina is returning again'. By bringing these people onto the stage, this constituency has already become turbulent with slogans of 'Boycott Fazle Huda, Boycott'. We demand an investigation into which lobby Fazle Huda Babul received the 'Sheaf of Paddy' nomination from, for taking the responsibility of rehabilitating anti-nationals, and demand the cancellation of his nomination."
