Teknaf Upazila Parishad elections are going to be held on May 29, putting an end to all speculations. On this occasion, the candidates announced the details and after the symbolic vows, both the parties were continuing the busy campaigning, miking, public relations, processions, meetings, gatherings, and yard meetings in full harmony. District and Upazila Returning Officers stopped all campaigns from May 26 after 12:00 pm following the election laws and rules In this election, a total of 9 candidates submitted nomination forms for each post of Chairman, Vice Chairman, and Female Vice Chairman, 3 each. The District Returning Officer after verifying the nomination form also declared the nomination of 9 persons as valid. They also offer symbols of their choice. Since Pritak Baradh was elected, every candidate continued their election campaigns. Except only the dummy candidate (motorcycle) symbol Didar Mia. In that case, now two candidates are active in Teknaf Upazila Parishad election.

One is the current Upazila Chairman (Telephone) symbol Nurul Alam, the other former Upazila Chairman (Pineapple) symbol Zafar Ahmad. Both are known as candidates of Awami Gharna as BNP did not participate in Jamaat polls. Meanwhile, considering Nurul Alam's ancestors and past political career, it can be seen that he is a born Awami family and the son of a political family whose contribution is more to the Awami League establishment in Teknaf.

Considering that aspect, the real Awami Leaguers of Teknaf can never go beyond it. Besides, he has versatile talent. Nurul Alami has become a beloved guardian to the people of Awami League, BNP, Jamaat groups of the entire upazila with this versatile talent. If there is a fair and impartial election, he is strongly hopeful that he will once again be the guardian of this Teknaf city.

On the other hand, Zafar Ahmad, although he claims to be Awami League now, he has a past history as a BNP splinter leader. Even though he is behind in education, the former upazila chairman, a former MP, Abdur Rahman Badi is a man of influence and prestige. In that case, many people are saying that this election will be more difficult. No matter how difficult the election is, he expressed his opinion that he is very optimistic about winning this time. Again, many among the mango crowd feel that if the power is concentrated in the same circle without maintaining the opposite position, then the mango crowd will not taste anything. If there is any injustice, no one can be found to protest against it.

Meanwhile, in the case of vice-chairman (male) and female brother chairman candidates, no one is less than anyone in the race for votes. Among them (Mike) vice-chairman candidate Mao Rafiq Uddin has been the vice-chairman once before, he has a large organization of scholars of Qaumi Gharna called Ulma Parishad. All over the upazila, former MP Badi's younger brother Municipal panel led by Mayor Maud Mujib will snatch the victory of Mike Prateek. If considered in that direction, the (tubewell) symbol of Sarwar Alam (glasses) also reduces to the Abu Siddiq Abu Bhai and Co part of the symbol. Both of them are hopeful of winning with their respective career past qualifications.

In the case of female vice chairman post candidate (Football), Margina Aktar Chiddiki luckily got 3 union vacancies out of 6 unions and 1 municipality of the upazila, so her chances of winning are more likely, but the other female vice chairman candidate (Padmaful) symbol is Akhter Milli for two consecutive terms in the upazila. Being the vice chairman, he cannot be dismissed as less in any part. He is also hopeful of winning again. Similarly, the Golapjan Aktar of the (Kals) symbol is pink and not less than the voters. Considering all aspects, the voters will have to wait till May 29 to decide who will be the guardian of Teknaf Upazila.
