At Rangabali in Patuakhali, freedom fighters' pastures are under threat due to uncontrolled sand extraction by illegal dredgers. The incident took place on the west side of Charlata Mauza of Rangabali Upazila Chaulabunia Union and on the east side of Payra thermal power plant in the Mukti Joddha Char allocated by the government. In this regard, freedom fighter Barek Mridha said, Charlata Mauzai government has given this char for freedom fighters. This pasture land of ours Due to illegal dredging of sand in the river, the river has started to erode. If these illegal dredgers are not stopped soon and action is not taken against them, this freedom fighter of ours will disappear. So we strongly request the Honorable Deputy Commissioner to keep our char alive. Earlier we have done benchmarking at various places including Rangabali and later we are Hon'ble Deputy Commissioner Sir's office I re-calibrated the square.
