In the Naogaon Devil Hunt operation, police have arrested Awami League leader Rezaul Islam (47) from Niamatpur, Naogaon. He was arrested on Thursday afternoon (February 20) from the Nimdighi area. Rezaul Islam is the son of Uzzal Islam from Nimdighi village, Rasulpur Union. He held the position of Organizational Secretary of the Rasulpur Union Awami League. According to police sources, based on secret information, Rezaul Islam was arrested in a sabotage case under the leadership of SI Chand Ali, on the instructions of the Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Niamatpur Police Station. Niamatpur Police Station OC Habibur Rahman stated that Awami League leader Rezaul Islam was arrested as part of the Operation Devil Hunt. He will be sent to jail custody in the morning. Special operations to maintain overall law and order and arrest criminals will continue.
