609 Bottles of Indian Phensedyl Seized in BGB Operation at Naogaon Border

609 bottles of Indian Phensedyl were seized in an operation by the Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) in Patnitala, Naogaon. According to BGB sources, a special patrol team led by Subedar Md. Ayub Ali, the patrol commander of Kalupara BOP under the Patnitala Battalion (14 BGB), conducted a raid based on intelligence information. The operation took place in Badidighi village field, approximately 400 yards inside Bangladesh from border pillar 271/7-S, where they recovered the 609 bottles of Indian Phensedyl. Around 4 AM on Sunday, the smugglers fled upon noticing the presence of BGB personnel. Sources added that the estimated value of the seized Phensedyl is Tk 2,43,000 (Two lakh forty-three thousand taka). Confirming the incident, Lt. Col. Mohammad Iqbal Hossain (PBPGM, PBPGMS), commanding officer of Patnitala Battalion (14 BGB), stated that strict operations against cattle/drug smuggling, illegal border crossings, and trafficking are ongoing along the border.
