In Dhamoirhat border of Naogaon, a smuggler named Rezuan arrested with 50 pieces of Tapentadol tablets.

The Patnitala Battalion (14 BGB) has detained a drug peddler along with Indian-made Tapentadol tablets from the Kalupara border area in Dhamoirhat upazila, Naogaon. A press release from the BGB stated that on Wednesday night (October 29), a special patrol team, led by Patrol Commander Habildar Md. Badsha Almgir of Kalupara BOP, conducted an operation and detained a drug peddler named Md. Rezoan Hossain (25), along with 50 pieces of Tapentadol tablets. He is the son of Yasin Hossain from Kalupara village in Dhamoirhat upazila.
The detained individual was immediately sentenced to three months of rigorous imprisonment by a mobile court (Case No.-03, Date: October 29, 2025). The BGB stated the seized narcotics and other items have an estimated market value of 10,000 Taka.
The commanding officer of the Patnitala Battalion, Lieutenant Colonel Mohammad Iqbal Hossain, pbgm, pbgms, stated that BGB's operations to prevent narcotics, cattle smuggling, and illegal border crossings in the Naogaon and Joypurhat border areas will continue.
