Metro rail employees resumed work on Tuesday after a two-week absence. Sources reported that staff from grades 10 to 20 returned after the Dhaka Mass Transit Company Ltd (DMTCL) board agreed to their demand for a pay raise. This decision has revived hopes for the resumption of metro rail operations, as the employees, who had been abstaining from work since August 6, are now back on the job.
