Francesca Albanese, the UN Special Rapporteur on Palestine, has warned that time is running out to protect Palestinians amid Israel’s relentless attacks in Gaza and crackdown in the West Bank. Middle East Monitor reported the news, citing Turkish news agency Anadolu.

Albanese stated, "Since January, Israel has not fully complied with any ceasefire agreement. Without direct intervention by the international community, their war crimes will not stop."

Expressing frustration over the case against Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu for international crimes and human rights violations, she added, "I no longer expect justice from any court. Everyone is busy rolling out the ‘red carpet’ for Netanyahu."

She further noted, "Many Western and European countries are inviting Netanyahu and ignoring the ICC’s arrest warrant." Albanese accused Israel of advancing an expansionist agenda by seizing more land in Gaza and the West Bank to incorporate into its territory.

She warned, "Israel is exploiting Europe’s weakness and U.S. support to dominate not just Palestine but the entire Middle East. Their attacks on Lebanon and Syria prove this. It’s a mistake to think they will stop here."

Albanese claimed, "Israel has made it clear—they want Jewish dominance from the Mediterranean Sea to the Jordan River." Urging immediate action, she said, "Take legal measures to stop the occupation, genocide, and racism. But this requires political will, which is currently absent."

The high-ranking UN official’s remarks serve as sharp criticism of global inaction in the Palestinian crisis. Her core message is clear: as time passes, the humanitarian catastrophe only deepens.
