Financial assistance for the victims of the devastating fire that burned down 7 grocery shops in Baishari, Naikhongchhari, Bandarban.

Financial aid, consisting of cash and corrugated iron sheets, was distributed on November 8th at 10 AM to the victims of the devastating fire that burned down 7 grocery shops in the Baishari market of Naikhongchhari, Bandarban on November 5th. The assistance was provided by the District Council and Jamaat-e-Islami Bangladesh. Among the affected individuals are Mohammad Shafi, Abul Kalam, Md. Shahidul Islam, Md. Alam, Sultana Ahmed, and Jasim Uddin. Jamaat-e-Islami provided 5,000 Taka, and the District Council provided 10,000 Taka along with two bundles of corrugated iron sheets.
During the handover ceremony, speeches were given by Abdul Kalam, the General Secretary of BNP; the current Chairman of Alam Company; Rafiq Bathari, Manager of Chittagong Booksociety; Advocate Abul Kalam, Member of the District Council; SM Abdus Salam Azad, Amir of Bandarban District. Also present at the time were: Mohammad Ilias, Naib-e-Amir of the Upazila; Mohammad Salimullah, Amir of Baishari Union; Dr. Md. Sonamia Sikdar, President of Bangladesh Professional Council, Baishari Union; Nurul Alam, Baitulmal Secretary of Baishari Union; Co-President and UP Member Nurul Kabir, UP Member Abu Taher, former UP Member Azizul Haq, and others. Furthermore, many other distinguished individuals were present.
