ESDO-organized Cleanliness Campaign Held at Mongalbarī Bazar in Dhamoirhat

A cleanliness campaign was held at Mongalbarī Bazar in Dhamoirhat Upazila, Naogaon. The cleanliness campaign took place at Mongalbarī Bazar in Jahanpur Union at 10 AM on November 27. The campaign on effective waste management at Mongalbarī Bazar and the Union Parishad campus was organized by the Eco Social Development Organization (ESDO) under the GoForImpact program, funded by the Swiss government and implemented by the WaterAid Bangladesh and Swisscontact consortium.
Teachers and students from various educational institutions, representatives of civil society, representatives from various voluntary organizations, the Union Parishad Chairman, members, and representatives from various political parties were present at the event. In the discussion meeting, chaired by Jahanpur Union Parishad Chairman Md. Golam Kibria, the chief guest's speech was given by, among others, Md. Al Mamun Ferdous, General Secretary of the Jahanpur Union branch of the Bangladesh Nationalist Party.
The speakers in the discussion thanked ESDO for such an awareness-raising initiative and stated that the local community must sustain this continuity. The chair of the meeting said that shopkeepers in Mongalbarī Bazar who place bins in front of their shops will be rewarded. The event was conducted and coordinated by, among others, Md. Raushan Jamal Chowdhury, Upazila Coordinator of the ESDO GoForImpact program, and Md. Bipul Hossain Prodhan, Union Outreach and Mobilization Officer.
