In an operation conducted in the Dogirkhal area of Halishahar, Chattogram, Coast Guard members seized smuggled goods worth 4 crore 15 lakh 13 thousand taka, including 1,056 cans of beer, 1,161 bottles of foreign liquor, and 4 bottles of olive oil. The special operation was carried out by the Coast Guard Base Chattogram in the Dogirkhal area of Halishahar, Chattogram, at 5 AM on May 3. During the operation, Coast Guard members raided a Chattogram ghat (landing point) in Dogirkhal where smugglers were unloading contraband goods from a boat. The seized items were confiscated, but those involved in the incident managed to escape, so no arrests could be made. The Coast Guard members stated that legal proceedings are underway regarding the seized boat and narcotics.
