"District Detective Branch (DB)" arrested 4 with foreign weapons and ammunition in Rajbari

In Rajbari, four people were arrested along with four rounds of ammunition and two foreign-made weapons in a special operation by DB Police. Additionally, four Android phones, one button phone, and a black Toyota-brand private car were recovered from their possession. Police confirmed this information in a press release at 4:00 PM on Monday (December 29). In the police press release, it was informed that the accused arrested with weapons and ammunition are: Mohammad Jahangir Sheikh Tarek (30), son of Khokan Sheikh from Uttar Bhabanipur in Rajbari town; Firoz Sheikh (30), son of Amir Sheikh from the Meshoghatta area of the same town; and the other two accused: Md. Siam Sheikh (21), son of Rajjak Sheikh from Sardar Para village, Khankhanapur; and Md. Imran Sardar (28), son of deceased Yunus Sardar from the same village. The release further stated that around 7:25 PM on the previous day (December 28), a skilled and efficient team from the District Detective Branch (DB) Police conducted this operation. The four were arrested during a raid at a place called Segun Bagicha in Ward No. 4 of the town. At that time, two foreign-made pistols of 7.67 caliber, manufactured abroad, were recovered—one from the pocket of arrested Md. Imran Sardar and another from the pocket of Md. Siam Sheikh. Along with that, four rounds of ammunition, four Android phones, one button phone, and a black private car were recovered. Later, the press release further stated that the accused have multiple previous cases against them. A case under the Arms Act is underway at Rajbari Sadar Police Station regarding this matter.
