Miscreants set fire in front of Grameen Bank in Rani Nagar, Naogaon. This incident occurred in the early hours of Tuesday, November 18, in front of the gate of the Grameen Bank branch in the Kachua Bazar, Gohelapur area of the upazila.
When asked about this, Lotus Hosen, Senior Officer of the Kachua Bazar branch of Grameen Bank, described the information provided by the bank's night guard, Mojibur Rahman, over the phone. He said that someone had set fire to 4-5 sacks in front of this branch office. The guard extinguished the fire and then left for Fajr prayers at dawn. The office area was engulfed in smoke from that fire.
The senior bank officer said the current situation is not good, and for this reason, he has instructed the night guard, Mojibur Rahman, to remain vigilant and keep a close watch on all sides of the office. However, the bank officer confirmed that nothing in the office was damaged.
The officer mentioned that, on the advice of senior officials of the bank, a complaint will be filed with the police station regarding this matter.
Officer-in-Charge Abdul Hafiz Md. Rayhan of the Rani Nagar Police Station said over the phone that no fire incident occurred at the Grameen Bank; he visited the area and saw smoke rising from the street. When asked if any complaint had been filed by Grameen Bank, he replied, "Nothing actually happened, so what is there to complain about?"
