Training and discussion session on humanitarian-based perspective for CSO members of DASCO Foundation held in Mohadevpur, Naogaon.

A conflict-sensitive, human rights-based perspective training and discussion session for CSO members was held under the ENGAGE project-CSO initiative, aimed at protecting the rights of the population most vulnerable to environmental degradation due to climate change. This was organized with the cooperation of CSO and NETZ Bangladesh at the Zia Nagar Pankauri Resort Center in Mohadevpur Upazila, Naogaon. Additionally, under the Agrajatra project of DASCO Foundation, a discussion and training session on the human rights-based perspective for CSO members, along with an entertainment and competition program aimed for protecting fair rights, was held.

The event began today (November 19, 2025) at 11 AM at the Mohadevpur Upazila Zia Nagar Pankauri Resort. It started with introductions, followed by the singing of the national anthem. Participants were then paired into teams through a lottery. CSO members provided entertainment by singing songs. Discussions focused on human rights. A essay competition with participation from CSO members and students, and a debate competition on the topic "Social awareness can prevent this social conflict" were held. The debate was moderated by CSO members from the area: CSO Saklain Hossain, Sumitra Pahan from the Dhunjoil Bazar area, 9 No. Cheragpur Union; CSO Lipi Rani, Monika Rani from behind the Maiba Dighi; CSO Shubha Varman, Paritosh Roy from Rabna Madhupur; and CSO Ujjal Kumar Sarkar, Anjana Rani, Ms. Parveen Begum, and Shamim Ahmed from 9 No. Chaumashia, 9 No. Cheragpur Union.

The overall management of the event was overseen by Area Facilitator Technical Officer Tamanna Jerin, Fields Facilitator Milita Murmu, and Fields Facilitator Shukla Deb. Daily Banglar Dut newspaper journalist Ujjal Kumar Sarkar was present at the program. The trained members appealed to the DASCO authorities to organize inter-program events at the upazila level in the future.
