Press Club Committee Formed in Galachipa: Milton as President, Sohag Rahman as General Secretary

A 41-member committee for the Galachipa Press Club has been formed in Galachipa, Patuakhali. Md. Khalid Hossain Milton, correspondent of Daily Tritiyo Matra/Khabarpatra for the upazila, has been appointed as the President, and Sohag Rahman, correspondent of Daily Jugantor (South) for Galachipa Upazila, has been appointed as the General Secretary for the 2025-2026 biennial committee of the Galachipa Press Club. The committee was announced on Thursday morning (February 20) at the temporary office of the press club. Other members of the committee include:

• Vice President: Md. Enshan Ali Mridha (Daily Sangbad Bangladesh)

• Joint General Secretary: Sohel Arman (Ananda TV)

• Organizing Secretary: Md. Hafiz (Daily Bhorer Pata)

• Assistant Organizing Secretary: Mithun Chandra Pal (Daily Ganokantha)

• Publicity and Publication Secretary: Md. Redwan Karim Talal (Daily Dakkhin Anchal)

• Treasurer: Al Mamun (Daily Manabkantha)

• Sports and Cultural Affairs Secretary: Shishir Hawladar (Daily Janabani/News 21)

• Social Welfare Secretary: Zillur Rahman Jewel (Daily Ganokantha, Staff Reporter)

• Office Secretary: Md. Mizanur Rahman (Daily Sangbad Sakal)

• Assistant Office Secretary: Jahirul Islam Chanchal Biswas (Daily Bangladesh Khabar)

• Information and Communication Technology Secretary: Md. Maidul Haque (Daily Sorejomin)

The new committee will assume responsibilities from February 1, 2025, and will serve until January 31, 2027.
