The village of Jashohar Shahapara in Chhatail Union fell silent under a shadow of grief.

On Wednesday, November 26, in Jashohar Shahapara village of Chhatail union in Bochaganj upazila of Dinajpur, a son, Abdus Salam (57), passed away. When his mother, Sokhibun Nessa (72), came to see her son, she also passed away at the scene upon seeing his dead body. The matter was confirmed by the Chairman of Chhatail Union Parishad, Md. Habibur Rahman Habu. The janaza prayers for the son and mother were held at 2:30 PM. After the janaza, they were buried in the family graveyard. This heart-wrenching incident cast a shadow of grief over the area, which remained silent throughout the day.
