Document writer killed by microbus in Rajbari

A man was killed after being run over by a microbus while crossing the road in Sreepur, Rajbari Sadar Upazila. The accident occurred on Tuesday (October 14) at noon on the Rajbari-Kushtia regional highway in the Sreepur area of Rajbari Sadar Upazila. The deceased has been identified as Abdul Hannan (56). He was a resident of Sen Gram, Bahadurpur Union, Pangsha Upazila, Rajbari district. Family sources of the deceased said that Abdul Hannan was a document writer by profession. He worked as a document writer at the Pangsha Sub-Registrar's office. He had gone to the District Registrar's office in the morning for some necessary work. He was returning to Pangsha in the afternoon after finishing his work. While crossing the road in front of the Registrar's office, a microbus heading towards Goalanda Ghat hit him and fled the scene. Locals later rescued him and took him to Rajbari Sadar Hospital, where the doctor on duty in the emergency department declared him dead.
Oshen Ara, the Nursing In-Charge of the Emergency Department at Rajbari Sadar Hospital, said, "A person named Abdul Hannan, involved in a road accident, was brought to the hospital. He had already passed away before being brought to the hospital. The police have been informed." Mahmudur Rahman, the Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Rajbari Sadar Police Station, said that upon receiving the news, police visited the spot. Legal measures regarding this matter are underway. Simultaneously, efforts are ongoing to apprehend the driver of the microbus.
