The formal inauguration of the bus service operated by the Ansar-VDP Welfare Trust, run by the Bangladesh Ansar and Village Defence Force, has been held. This new bus service on the Rangpur-Dhaka-Rangpur route officially commenced its journey on November 20 at the Lalmonirhat Ansar Battalion Headquarters. The Range Commander of the Bangladesh Ansar and Village Defence Force, Rangpur Range, Deputy Director General Mohammad Abdul Awal, PVM, PVMS, attended the inaugural ceremony as the chief guest and inaugurated the bus service. In his speech as the chief guest, Deputy Director General Mohammad Abdul Awal said, "The Ansar VDP Welfare Trust is implementing various public welfare programs. The newly launched Rangpur bus service is a part of this continuity. It will open new doors for expanding the Trust's services alongside ensuring smooth travel for the public." The special guests who spoke at the event were Mohammad Rashedul Islam, District Commandant of Bangladesh Ansar and VDP, Rangpur District; ASM Sakhawat Hossain, District Commandant, Kurigram District; and Mohammad Sahidul Islam, District Commandant, Lalmonirhat District, among others. The event was presided over by Director Mohammad Kamruzzaman, Commander of Lalmonirhat Ansar 34 BN.

Also present among others were Mohammad Faruk Hossain, Assistant Director, Rangpur Range; Mohammad Abdus Salam, Assistant Director, Lalmonirhat Ansar Battalion; and Mohammad Hamidur Rahman, Company Commander, Lalmonirhat Ansar Battalion; Tarun Kumar Ghosh, Company Commander; Mohammad Sajidul Islam, Lalmonirhat Ansar Battalion, and others. The speakers at the event expressed hope that with the launch of the bus service, passengers from the Rangpur region would get safe, affordable, and quality travel facilities through this newly launched route. The guests present welcomed the Trust's initiative as part of its social responsibility. Officials and employees of various ranks of Ansar and Village Defence Force, people from various professions, bus drivers, supervisors, battalion Ansar, upazila trainers, upazila company commanders, union leaders (male and female), Ansar VDP and TDP members, distinguished persons, and media workers were present at the event.
