A development-oriented views-exchange meeting was held between the newly appointed District Administrator (Deputy Commissioner) Md. Tawfiqur Rahman and prominent citizens of the historic Bogura district, a district rich in heritage as the center of North Bengal and the capital of the ancient Pundranagar. The discussion meeting, held in the District Administrator's meeting room 'Korotoa' on Thursday, November 20, was attended by various social, cultural, educationists, and development workers. The issue of long-term development deprivation in this region, associated with the memory of the spiritual saint Shah Sultan Balkhi Mahi Sawar (Rh.), was raised at the meeting. Simultaneously, the historical significance of Bogura as the birthplace of Nawab Mohammad Ali, the former Prime Minister of Pakistan, and Shaheed Major General Ziaur Rahman, the announcer of the great War of Liberation and a Sector Commander, was highlighted.

The founder of the top-tier national and international standard non-governmental development organization TMSS, noted social worker, educationist, Director of Ansar-VDP Unnayan Bank, and Executive Director of TMSS, Professor Dr. Hosne Ara Begum, presented a development strategy for Bogura based on both 'Forward Looking' and 'Backward Looking' perspectives. She said that comprehensive development of Bogura can be accelerated through multifaceted education, job creation, sports development, productive activities, and building an enterprising young generation. Dr. Hosne Ara Begum cited the expansion of the airport, railway, and modern communication systems as timely demands and advised taking effective initiatives to meet people's basic needs, alleviate grievances and frustrations, and curb social crimes including teen gangs. She welcomed the District Administrator and assured him of all kinds of cooperation.

District Administrator Md. Tawfiqur Rahman listened attentively to the opinions of all present and expressed his commitment to taking coordinated initiatives for the overall development of Bogura. Prominent individuals, educationists, social workers, officials of various ranks from the administration, the Executive Director's Personal Secretary Sarvik Md. Ferdous Rahman, media workers, and others were present at this time.
