Narsingdi Raipura upazila vice chairman candidate beaten to death

Narsingdi's Raipura Upazila Parishad election, two vice chairman candidates Chashma Prateek Abid Hasan Rubel and Tala Prateek Md Suriman Mia were beaten to death by the rival candidate of Chashma Prateek Abid Hasan Rubel and his supporters in a face-to-face clash during the campaigning of Tala Prateek Md Sumon Mia. Sunday 22/5/ Raipura Upazila Health Complex emergency department at approximately 6:30 pm on Wednesday 24th The doctor confirmed the death of Md. Sumon Mia. It is known from Sumon's supporters and local sources that on Wednesday, candidate for Tala Pratik Md. Sumon Mia went to public meeting in Mirekandi of Charanchal Paratali Union of Upazila. When his convoy reached the Mirekandi area at noon, he was confronted by supporters of rival candidate Chashma Prateek Abid Hasan Rubel. Then there were clashes and shootings between the supporters of both the candidates. Meanwhile, Md Suman Mia was seriously injured in the attack of Rubel supporters. After receiving the information, the police brought Suman to Raipura Upazila Health Complex with serious injuries and the doctors declared him dead. Meanwhile, the vice chairman candidate Md. Sumon rushed to the upazila health complex after hearing the news of Mia's death. Due to his death, the entire Raipura is in a state of chaos. Additional police have been deployed. Md. Sumon Mia is the son of Charsubuddhi Union Chairman Nasir Uddin Ahmed. He was contesting for the post of Vice Chairman in the Raipura Upazila Parishad election with the Tala symbol. The police could not be immediately reached for comment on the incident.
