In Narsingdi, an uncle and his sons (cousins) have hacked to death their own two nephews following a land dispute. Fora Miah's wife Monira Begum was also injured in the incident. The event occurred on Saturday, November 1, 2025, around noon in the Charsubuddhi area of Raipura upazila.

The deceased are Fora Miah (40), son of the late Abu Taher of Charsubuddhi area, and his younger brother Shakil Miah (20). Family members of the deceased stated that Fora and Shakil's father had borrowed 1700 Taka from their uncle Abdul Awal about 20 years ago. Based on this, Awal and his sons Shipon Miah, Ripon Miah, and others had been claiming land from Abu Taher's homestead. Recently, after several arbitration hearings, the arbitrators ruled in favor of Abu Taher's family.

This Saturday, Ripon, Shipon, and others again went to occupy the land. When Fora Miah's family resisted, they attacked them with sharp weapons. Fora Miah, Shakil Miah, and Fora Miah's wife Monira Begum were injured in the attack. The injured were rescued and taken to Narsingdi Sadar Hospital, where the attending doctor declared the two brothers dead.

Dr. Farida Gulshanara Kabir, Residential Medical Officer at Narsingdi Sadar Hospital, said, "The two individuals brought to our hospital were found dead. One injured person has been provided with medical treatment."

Sujan Chandra Sarkar, Additional Superintendent of Police in Narsingdi, informed that the two brothers were hacked to death in connection with a land dispute. "Upon receiving the news, we are inspecting the scene. The situation in the area is currently normal. One person has been detained for questioning."
