Inauguration of 12 Crore Taka Development Project in Dinajpur Municipality!

A road and drain development project, costing 12 crore and 3 lakh taka, has been inaugurated in the Dinajpur Municipality area. The work was inaugurated under the Road Upgradation and Transport Development (RUTDP) project, funded by the World Bank. Under this project, the construction work of one kilometer of roads and drains was inaugurated, stretching from Modern Moor to Chauliyapatti Moor to Sadhurghat, and from Chauliyapatti Moor to Lalbagh. The Executive Engineer of Dinajpur Municipality, Md. Minarul Islam Khan, inaugurated this development project on Thursday (November 13) at 12:00 PM.
Present at the time were the Assistant Engineer of the Municipality, Mir Tofazzal Hossain; Sub-Assistant Engineer Md. Moyez Uddin; Senior Municipal Engineer of the project, Md. Murtuza Reza; Municipal Engineer Md. Mushfiqur Rahman; Sub-Assistant Engineer Shafiqul Islam; former councilor of the municipality, Kazi Ashraful Uzzaman Babu; the owner of the contracting firm Nipa Enterprise JVRA, Md. Rabul Alam Tuhin, Md. Habibur Rahman, and other distinguished individuals, as well as municipality officers and employees.
Engineer Minarul Islam Khan said that once the project is implemented, the standard of living for people in the municipal area will improve, and movement for pedestrians and vehicles will become easier. The local residents will be relieved from long-standing inconveniences due to the road construction. He informed that the total cost for implementing this project has been set at 12 crore, 3 lakh, and 906 taka. According to the contract, the contractor has been given a deadline to complete this construction work by December of next year, 2026.
